On 13th and 14th December in Kaliningrad the international conference within the project " Prevention of fault in posture and scoliosis of children from small towns and villages" took place, financed from means of the European Union and entering into the Estonia-Latvia-Russia cross border cooperation Programme.

Employees of our Center took part in this conference – professors M. Dudin and D. Pinchuk, and also division superintendent of the department of kinezotherapy N. V. Pugachyova. All of them made reports in which results of staff’s work were showed. Particularly, it concerned pathogenesis of scoliosis and features of central nervous system’s functioning of such patients. The great interest was caused by N.V.Pugacheva's presentation about experience of application of modern techniques of respiratory gymnastics in complex treatment of three-planar deformation of spinal column. In whole, reports of our colleagues caused extensive discussion because for the first time in history were considered problems of prevention of scoliosis and ways of tasks solutions were substantiated. In the end of the meeting, a row of the provisions reflected in reports of key specialists Children's Rehabilitation Center of Orthopedics and Traumatology "Ogonyok" were immediately included in plans of practical implementation of international Project.
