Dietotherapy

In “Ogonyok” children get 5 meals a day (breakfast, dinner, mid-morning snack, dinner and supper). It’s developed by us and coordinated by the Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights. The menu is for 14 days (summer and winter options). Three age categories of patients are provided for in the menu: from 4 to 6 years, from 7 to 10 years, from 11 to 17 years.

The main option of used diet is the standard diet for children (№ 15).

It is possible to compile a personal diet:

- a hypoallergenic diet with an exception of food allergens;

- a glute- free diet in case of a coeliac disease;

- a diet with a low calorie content for children with superfluous body mass.

The food ration of children daily includes fresh vegetables and fruit.

The nutrition of children is organized in the institution’s canteen where in 2011 major repair was carried out. For children with restriction of movement, nutrition is provided in clinical departments.

The nutrition unit of the establishment is equipped with all of the necessary modern equipment for implementation of dietetic therapy.

A qualified dietary nurse organizes dietetic therapy for children. Practical help in the organization and control of the implementation and quality of dietetic therapy is rendered by the Council of meals.
